About the work <Drifting Sand>
Drifting sand is a meteorological phenomena; it is when the wind blow the sand blew horizon and has no significan effect on a person’s visibility.
In a vast seemingly endless sand field, where the gentle wind is warm and the distant sight is clear, the sand grains carried by the wind, move ever so slowly wave after wave under the horizon; wind and sand, passenger and carrier, together occupy the land and create a desert. Drifting sand is the desirous undercurrent of the nature lurking and creeping slowly forward. Unlike a violent and destructive sand storm, the drifiting sand does not possess aggressive attitude. When facing an obstacle, the drifiting sand would cut around it and quietly leave a trail of sand behind waiting for the next wave of force to push it forward.
Humanities' instinct to survive is to transfer passion to creation. By using pace like a drifitng sand and versatile forms that depict self-desire, the humanity slowly change its natural habitat. The world supposingly with a clear future would be curved gradually into pieces by the ever changing under current of the drifting sand, and its shell would be forever changed and lost in oblivion.
Living in the moment, the lonely human compose a realem of conversations with the world in order to exhibit the passion-turned determination to conceive new born. In consequence, this act force human to think and to respond the chanllenge with either rebellious or detached attitude. Standing on the edge of passion, rebellion, and detachment, like the drifting sand express their desire.
Coexisting together, survivers' wells like drifiting sand gentally conquer the world. The piece presented is inspired observing how drifiting sand gracefully shape the land and create its own destiny. The piece examine on how modern human face the world and how they survive it.
